The Women’s Hospital Inaugurated in New Delhi as India’s First Dedicated Multispeciality Healthcare Facility for Women Across All Life Stages

The Women’s Hospital has been inaugurated in New Delhi as a 30,000 sq ft multispeciality facility exclusively for women, offering life-stage healthcare from adolescence to menopause. With 34 beds, advanced medical infrastructure, 16 specialities and Zero Indoor Air Quality design, it aims to redefine women-centric healthcare in India.

The Women’s Hospital (TWH), a 30,000 square feet state-of-the-art healthcare facility dedicated exclusively to women, has been inaugurated at R-1, Nehru Enclave, Outer Ring Road, New Delhi. Positioned as the city’s first multispeciality hospital focused solely on women’s health, the institution has been founded by Ms. Anika Parashar along with her founding team and established with investment support from The Select Group, which serves as the principal investor, alongside other investors.

The hospital introduces an integrated healthcare model designed to address a critical gap in Indian healthcare: the absence of a unified, judgment-free medical ecosystem that supports women through every stage of life. Built around a life-stage care philosophy, TWH spans healthcare needs from adolescence to menopause and beyond, offering structured clinical support for long-term wellbeing.

The 30,000 square feet facility houses 34 beds, including 12 neonatal intensive care unit beds, and is equipped with 10 dedicated life-stage clinics, 3 modular operation theatres, and 3 labour delivery suites. The hospital offers 16 key specialities spanning preventive healthcare, diagnostics, treatment, neonatal intensive care, holistic wellness, aesthetic medicine, and long-term health support.

Designed with a Zero Indoor Air Quality environment, the hospital integrates advanced air purification systems, continuous environmental monitoring, infection-control protocols, privacy-focused layouts, and calming interior design elements to enhance patient comfort and safety.

The inauguration was attended by Chief Guests Mrs. Jyotsana Sharma, Mrs. Saroj Singh, and Mrs. Mala Baijal. The facility was formally launched as a comprehensive women-centric healthcare institution intended to serve patients across all life stages, including adolescence, reproductive years, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause, oncology care, metabolic health management, and mental wellbeing.

Highlighting the need for such a facility, the hospital cited major public health indicators in India, including approximately 355 million menstruating women, nearly 23 million girls dropping out of school due to inadequate menstrual hygiene, around 60,000 cervical cancer deaths annually, an estimated 25 percent prevalence of polycystic ovarian disease and polycystic ovary syndrome, and infertility affecting one in six couples. These figures underscore systemic gaps in women’s healthcare delivery and access.

The Women’s Hospital is structured around dedicated life-stage clinics, including Menarche and Adolescence, Reproductive Health and Fertility, Pregnancy and Newborn Care, Early Motherhood and Postpartum Care, Midlife and Menopause Care, Chronic and Metabolic Health, Cancer Screening and Survivorship, Cosmetic and Aesthetic Care, Care for Older Women, and Mental Health, Nutrition, and Functional Medicine.

Speaking at the launch, Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ms. Anika Parashar stated that the hospital was conceptualised after observing over 25 years of systemic gaps in women’s healthcare. She emphasized that women often face fragmented systems, repeated consultations, delayed treatment, and lack of empathetic care. She added that the institution is designed to provide a healthcare environment where women of all ages can access preventive, specialised, and holistic care in a safe and supportive setting, with attention to clinical design, privacy, air quality, and patient experience.

Mr. Arjun Sharma, Chairman of The Select Group, described the hospital as a purpose-driven investment aimed at addressing a long-standing gap in healthcare infrastructure for women in India. He noted that while India has world-class hospitals, few are designed to treat women as holistic individuals across their entire lifespan, a gap this institution aims to fill.

The leadership team of the hospital includes Ms. Anika Parashar as Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Gaurav Singh as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Veneet Garg as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Harjeet Singh as Head of Chief Administration and Projects, and Ms. Shruti Saxena as Chief Experience and People Officer.

The clinical leadership comprises Dr. Raghuram Mallaiah as Executive Director of Neonatology, Dr. Anjila Aneja and Dr. Neena Bahl as Executive Directors of Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Minimal Access and Robotic Surgery, Dr. Vijay Murthy as Executive Director of Functional Medicine, Dr. Karishma Thariani as Director of Urogynecology, Dr. Debashish Chaudhary as Director of Oncology, Dr. Surakshith TK as Director of Gastroenterology, and Dr. Gaurika Sahi as Director of Radiology.

The hospital’s clinical services cover obstetrics and gynaecology, neonatology and milk bank services, urogynecology, in vitro fertilisation and reproductive medicine, mental health counselling, breast surgery and oncology, functional medicine, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, general surgery, gastroenterology, endocrinology, internal medicine with a women-focused approach, dermatology and aesthetic medicine, nutrition and dietetics, and physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

With 34 beds, including 12 neonatal intensive care beds, the facility is supported by 3 modular operation theatres, 3 labour delivery suites, 1 recovery room, and 1 emergency bed. It incorporates advanced medical infrastructure including robotic-assisted surgical systems, next-generation operating theatres, India’s first Korean-designed operating suite, advanced fetal medicine capabilities, high-resolution prenatal imaging, the 1788 laparoscopic platform, premium Hillrom labour and delivery beds, and India’s first fully integrated neonatal intensive care unit powered by a GE satellite monitoring system.

Nutrition has been integrated into clinical care, with meal planning designed by clinical nutritionist Dr. Lovneet Batra in collaboration with culinary experts. The hospital’s dietary philosophy includes therapeutic nutrition plans for pregnancy, recovery, and metabolic health, elimination of Teflon-based cookware, exclusion of palm oil in food preparation, and incorporation of organic ingredients wherever possible.

Located in proximity to Greater Kailash, Kalkaji, Saket, Panchsheel Park, Defence Colony, Swami Nagar, and Hauz Khas, The Women’s Hospital is positioned as a comprehensive healthcare destination aimed at addressing preventive care, treatment, recovery, and lifelong wellbeing for women and families.

The launch of The Women’s Hospital marks a significant development in India’s healthcare landscape, establishing a dedicated multispeciality institution built around the principle of continuity of care for women across all stages of life.
